What this is

Murāja‘ah is a free revision aid for people who memorize the Qur'an. It is an Inheriting Islam project built by Hamza Abdul-Tawwaab. It is not an official Quran.com or Quran Foundation product.

Qur'an content

The Qur'an text, the Saheeh International translation, the recitation by Mishari Rashid al-‘Afasy and the Quran font are provided by Quran Foundation and their owners and are shown here unmodified, under the Quran Foundation Developer Terms. They are not covered by this app's code license and may not be copied out of this app as data.

The comparison

Comparisons are textual: they show which words differ between two āyāt, word for word. They are computed by software and are not tafsir, rulings or a scholarly review. Suggested similar āyāt are found automatically within the same surah and may miss look-alikes elsewhere in the Qur'an.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranty. Always check your memorization against a printed Mushaf and a qualified teacher. Availability depends on the Quran Foundation API; when fresh content cannot be fetched, the app shows an error rather than old content.

Your data

See the privacy policy. In short: no accounts, cookies, analytics or tracking. Your review list stays in your browser, and verse references in page addresses can appear in the host's access logs.

Source code

The source code is released under the MIT license. That license covers the code only, not the Qur'an content described above.
